Sculpture Workshop
The Sodus Art Bank
Deadline: 05/15/08
This
spring (May 27-30) The Sodus Art Bank is offering an aluminum, bronze,
and iron casting workshop. After introductory explorations, focus will
be on creating work reflective of your own artistic direction.
Therefore, applicants should be aware that this unique approach to
casting will be strongly influenced by their own particular artistic
direction instead of a general approach to casting techniques. This
intensive is essential also for artists wanting to translate their
current 2 dimensional art into 3 dimensional works in aluminum, bronze,
or iron. Total cost for lodging, mold-making materials, studio use and
foundry, plus instruction is $450/artist. You pay for your own metals
(or bring it). Applicants should send 10 slides or CD of their work,
statement of casting experience level, resume, and SASE to:
The Sodus Art Bank
27 East Main Street
Sodus, New York 14551
