Call to International Emerging Artists:

A call for 2D and 3D submissions for a group exhibition
featuring the works of the Top 4 emerging artists selected
via the votes cast by art enthusiasts from around the world
during "CURATE THIS!". Physical submission receive deadline
is June 12, 2008. Email submissions will be accepted
according the guidelines listed through June 10, 2008. A fee
of $25 allows for the submission of 4 works.

'FOUR'
From June 18-21, 2008 art enthusiasts from around the world will view the works submitted by emerging artists from all corners of the globe and vote to choose the top 10 emerging artists of 2008 working in 2D and 3D mediums including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, mixed-media, drawing, printmaking, fiber, textiles and photography. BECA gallery will be enlisting the input of art enthusiasts from around the world via 'CURATE THIS!', an event which allows anyone from anywhere in the world with an internet connection and email access to select 10 artists and their works to be featured at www.becagallery.com and in the upcoming publication titled, 'CURATE THIS!'. Of the top 10 artists selected, the top 4 artists who have received the highest number of votes will have their works exhibited at 'FOUR', the gallery's 3rd international contemporary art exhibition opening August 2, 2008 at BECA gallery located at 527 Saint Joseph Street, New Orleans, LA, USA in the heart of the New Orleans warehouse arts district. The opening of the exhibit, 'FOUR', coincides with White Linen Night, the largest annual visual arts event in New Orleans.

'FOUR' EXHIBITION DATES: August 2 – September 28, 2008.

Majestic Galleries

The 3rd Annual National Juried Competition is sponsored by the Majestic Galleries in Nelsonville, OH. This year's juror is Kevin Ewing, a visiting instructor in painting at Ohio University. This competition is open to all artists, ages 18 and older living and working in the United States and Canada. All media and processes are accepted. Artists needing open space for multi-media or installation work will find this to be an exceptional opportunity. Cash Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded. Last years prizes totaled over $600. Entries will be judged by jpeg's on a CD or for movement based works, no more than 10 minutes on CD or DVD cued to the beginning or 35 mm color slides. There is an entry fee of $25 per individual for 3 works. All artwork will be insured while on display at the gallery. Call for Artists Proposals

We are currently seeking exhibition proposals from ambitious and thought provoking contemporary artists in mediums which include painting, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, video, printmaking, performance and photography to participate in group, joint and individual shows.

Proposals should include:
Artist Statement and resume in Microsoft Word format (.doc)
Contact information (include email and mailing address, telephone number and website)
Digital images of your work in .jpeg file format accompanied by the title, medium, dimensions, date, retail price and dates when the work is available
Participation goals and artist intentions (ie. holding works on consignment, proposal for duo or solo show, group exhibition opportunities, etc.)
Any equipment needed
Self Addressed Stamped Envelope if you are sending slides or CDs and wish to have them returned to you. Otherwise your submissions will not be returned.
